Supporting health
The stomach of a horse only makes up 10% of the complete digestive system. Though this is rather small considering the size of the animal, the digestive system is highly sensitive. A poor stomach condition can rigorously impair animal health and performance. It is important to support the digestive system in the most optimal way.
EquiElite GC is a blend of carefully selected raw materials like lithohamn, yeast products, pectine, plant extracts and pure distilled fatty acids obtained from splitting. It is packed in a jar of 2.4 kg. It can be supplemented to horses, (small) ponies and foals. The following dosage is advised:
Adult horses and ponies: 40 grams, two times a day (morning and evening).
Foals and small ponies: 40 grams, one time a day.
Functioning
The active ingredients are able to protect the stomach against damage caused by gastric acid. Lithohamn helps to regulate the stomach pH and pectin turns into a gel like structure when it comes in to contact with gastric acid. This gel like structure protects mucous lining of the stomach. The mucous lining can continue to fulfill its function and the normal physiology of the digestive tract is maintained, and the negative effect of harmful micro-organisms is limited.
An imbalance in the microbiota can lead to digestive disorders. It can impair performance, which can be noted by:
- Lethargy;
- Irritability;
- Girthiness.
EquiElite GC contains yeast product that is known for its ability to balance the gut microbiota. In addition it is complemented with chamomile which has the ability to control gas formation and stomach cramps during intestinal problems.
