Some skin conditions are caused by an allergic reaction, such as eczema. This means that the skin problem is not caused by for example midges, but due to a severe reaction of the immune system. This triggers inflammation of the skin. These inflamed areas of the skin are itchy, which causes rubbing and aggravates the problem.
The selected monoglycerides in EquiElite Woundgel have a scientifically proven moderating effect on the responses from the immune system. Additionally the Woundgel contains ingredients that form a protective layer on the skin and wound, thereby limiting the chance that harmful bacteria enter the wound.

The itching caused by wounds causes horses to start rubbing. This allows bacteria to enter the wound. Potentially harmful bacteria can enter and aggravate inflammation. This may lead to even more itching and rubbing.
EquiElite Woundgel contains antibacterial monoglycerides of fatty acids that are known for their anti-bacterial properties. They can inhibit inflammation in the wound and thereby reduce itching. EquiElite Woundgel is packed in a 250 ml bottle. It can be applied on and around external wounds. The product can be used multiple times a day.
